Admission to most of the graduate programs at Cornell University is made through Cornell's Graduate School. The Graduate School comprises fields of study from all over the University, including D+EA. D+EA brings together some of the world's leading experts in interior design, human factors and ergonomics, facility planning and management, and environmental psychology into a single field and department. Students benefit from a low faculty-to-student ratio and the faculty's integrated approach to the study of the planning, design, and management of the built environment and its effects on those using it.
Graduate students in D+EA are admitted within one of three programs within the D+EA Graduate Field: Masters of Art in Design, Masters of Science in Human Environment Relations (HER) or Ph.D. in Human Behavior and Design.
D+EA will no longer offer the 4+1 program as of Fall 2018.
Masters application due January 15 and Ph.D. application due December 1. Applications are accepted for Fall Admission only.
